Massive Bavarian beer hall coming to Toronto for Oktoberfest
If you're looking for a big fall festival this season, the 2024 Toronto Oktoberfest might be the place to be.
The two-day event will celebrate all things involving Bavarian tradition and culture. This of course means serving epic proportions of imported German beer.
This year, event organizers announced the first 500 attendees on each day will receive "free glass beer steins." The classic German beer stein is an essential part of the tradition associated with Bavarian culture.
In order to accommodate for the large-scale size of the festivities, the event will be hosted in a huge airplane hangar with "Bavarian communal tables and benches direct from Germany."
For those coming to the event as a beer enthusiast, options will range from both German brands and across Europe. These include well-known German breweries such as Erdinger, Paulaner & Stiegl.
Of course, no Bavarian celebration is complete without an abundance of food and entertainment, as Bratwurst sausages, German pastries, and fresh pretzels will also be available for purchase.
According to festival organizers, there will be an "Oktoberfest-themed cabaret style" show you can watch while eating and drinking your German sausage and beer.
Organizers have also shared that all ages are welcome during Saturday evening festivities, however both nights of the festival will be strictly 19+.
Early bird tickets for the Bavarian celebrations start at $20 and are currently on sale.
The festival will begin on September 27th at 5:30 p.m. and end at 11:00 p.m. located at the Downsview Airport Lands.
The following day will commence at 12:30 p.m. and will run until 11:30 p.m.
